The Friends of St Andrew's Hospital will continue a strong tradition of community interest that has assisted the hospital to expand and succeed over the past 50 years. Since the 1940's the hospital has benefited from the support of visiting doctors, staff, volunteer workers, members of the Uniting Church community, patients and their families.
This new group will supersede the former St Andrew's Hospital Women's Auxiliary who provided invaluable financial and other help over many years. Such interest from members of the hospital community certainly makes a very real and important difference in enabling St Andrew's to deliver the highest quality of acute hospital care for which it is widely recognized.
